Meet the team! Kevin McKeegan, science team member at the UCLA Dept. of Earth and Space Sciences, led the team design and fabrication of a new mass spectrometer called MegaSIMS that combines an ion microscope (SIMS) with a tandem million-volt particle accelerator (Mega) and a high energy multicollector mass spectrometer to examine elemental concentrations on sample materials.
